I am afraid of the end of the world. What should I do?
This web site is full of answers to that question. In a nutshell, though, the primary thing you need to do, in preparation for the coming end times, is to be sure you are right with God. World events, fear of the future, and uncertainty about theological issues can drive even the most solid believers mad. There is even more fear in the minds of those who are unsure of their relationship with the Lord.
Once you have a clean house, per se, you will find that your fears tend to fall aside. The surpassing greatness of the prospect of eternity with Christ far exceeds any anxiety you may feel over a few uncomfortable years before the end.
If you don’t feel the peaceful assurance of your salvation, that should be a much bigger concern than the coming world events. To remedy this issue, you may want to seek the counsel of a trusted pastor or friend. You can also see the answers to other questions on this site that pertain to salvation.
Psalm 2:1–4, Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us”. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Philippians 4:6–7, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Isaiah 26:3, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.
