I have glaucoma, and can no longer see well enough to read. How can I study God’s Word if I can’t see it?
I am sorry about your illness. I would like to commend you, though, for being hungry for fellowship with the Lord and study of His Word.
Time alone with God—through prayer, Bible study, and worship—is vital in the life of every believer. I can understand why you are concerned about how you will fill that need. First of all, I would recommend that you meditate on the Scriptures that you can recall, and then ask the Holy Spirit to bring to mind ones you have forgotten. Further, many audio versions of the Bible (as well as concordances and other Bible study aids) are available through most bookstores.
May God bless you as you fully seek Him.
"With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes." (Psalm 119:10-12)
